Tod Caviness here, with a slew of signings and readings this week. I mean, I’m not your mother, but you have to admit it’s pretty nice outside. Get out there.

- First up: A relaxing cup at Infusion Tea in College Park, where fiction writer Chris McClelland will be the featured reader at Naomi Butterfield’s “Soft Exposure” tonight (Feb. 23). An assistant editor at Narrative Magazine, McClelland has a United Arts of Central Florida Fiction Award for his story “Fine People” and published writing in Harper’s, SouthLit and other journals. Reading begins at 7 p.m. with a sign-up list for open mike readers at 6:30.

- Good news: Y: The Last Man still hasn’t been made into a movie. They’d only screw it up anyway, and we probably wouldn’t have the benefit of getting to shake hands with one of the creators. Comics artist Pia Guerra will be appearing at A Comic Shop this Friday (Feb. 25), with a Q&A at 5:30 p.m., book signing from 6-7:30, and (because it’s A Comic Shop) an after-party. (Nerd dating tip: Guys, if you own a monkey, bring it to the party.)

- In DeLand, activist Lily Guzman will be signing copies of “The Space Between the Olives.” Translated from the Spanish, “Olives” uses the fictional tale of a hard-luck town to outline Guzman’s plan for civic action. Join her over a little wine and cheese at the Muse Bookstore from 6-8 p.m. this Friday (Feb. 25).

- From the sublime to … this signing at the Winter Park Borders (yes, we still have a couple here in town). Pro wrestler, metal singer and author Chris Jericho will be signing copies of his book Undisputed: How to Become the World Champion in 1,372 Easy Steps at 3 p.m. this Saturday. I’ve got a review copy. It’s 425 pages and there’s some very nice photographs.
